Review : Green Lantern (2011)

"Green Lantern" is both on the wall and out of this world - literally. More space opera sci-fi epic hero, it works in fits and starts, as its various parts in and out of efficiency, but professionalism in the production, it is watchable in a sort of cartoon of the way .

Wacky premise of the film comes from the resumption of the 1959 book on the book that launched the idea of a huge legion of intergalactic powerful green lanterns, each with his lantern very clean - the lava lamp of high quality - and each one be the protector of a corner of the universe.

But if the lights and matching rings powerful have existed for millions of years, a member of the human race has never been elected to join the body. And when the test pilot Hal champion "Call Me Irresponsible" Jordan gets the green light, there are many scratches head both on Earth and elsewhere.

It reflects the answer to Hollywood, where charming leading man Ryan Reynolds has been tapped for the role. How could he look in the computer-generated, uniform conical lantern, and it would take Gravitas Parallax fear evilest device that has ever lived?

As a result, Reynolds can handle most of what the script Greg Berlanti and Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim and Michael Goldenberg attacks him. The problem is that not all of these things are worth.

Not surprisingly, Reynolds is the goal of early Hal Jordan. Pilot arrogant but charming for aircraft Ferris - who cares about the beautiful relationship with Carol Ferris old flame (a measure of Blake Lively) - is so indifferent, falls asleep on the morning of his biggest robbery.

Thanks also effective for the purposes of Grant Major and visual staging, I have tried to develop the 2-D, are the views first film on the planet Oa, the port of lanterns and the instructor. Would be more of dirt, the Guardians of the Universe, who first figured out how to harness the power that excites the Lanterns, the power comes from. (Was Leni Riefenstahl did not finish first, "Triumph of the Will" would have done a heck of a subtitle here.)

The fact that OA Lantern Abin Sur (Temuera Morrison) leaves to fight Parallax. Things do not work properly, and then fall to earth, his ring, which always chooses who goes to the next elected Hal. No one is more surprised than the man himself to be suddenly reciting sacred oath ("Those who worship evil beware the power of my power - Green Lantern lights") that sounds like he could come back, and a box of cereal.

"Green Lantern is the" biggest problem, has never completely overcome, that there is a serious change in the tonal range of an angry Hal Jordan, the opening sections and the savior of the universe in the final dead serious. The film tries to bridge this gap with extra characters and drawing visitors, such as nasty with other parts of the lanterns, which tend to show 'Star Wars' Mos Eisley Cantina refugees, but does not help.

Even if he has nothing but play, star Reynolds is not the best one of these points, which among other things, you learn to control the ring of the ability to create anything his mind can imagine. Michael Fassbender from Magneto in "X-Men: First Class" has set the bar pretty high in the summer, superhero, ambivalence, and Reynolds remains inevitable.

"Green Lantern" has the advantage, good enemies, by Parallax, an amorphous blob of injustice without end that terrorism thrives, and look for the yellow color (if you know) fear.

The man on Earth is an evil scientist, Hector Hammond, played by Peter Sarsgaard. Parallax touch turns into a sort of creepy Quasimodo with Beady yellow eyes and a huge head deformed sow destruction wherever he goes. Always adventurous, compelling actor, Sarsgaard are right for this role.

As the ups and downs, "Green Lantern" is lucky to have Martin Campbell ("Mask of Zorro," "Casino Royale"), director. Although this is not the best time Campbell has a lot of skill to projects so far-fetched. When you are working (the clip is shown during the credits), the time it is hoped the game UPS Next.
